Cross-Border Mobility Across Spain, Portugal, and Ireland

When Jyväskylä Educational Consortium received Erasmus+ KA122 approval for a multi-country programme, they faced a daunting task: coordinating placements in three different countries, each with different sectors, languages, and logistics.

Piktalent proposed a unified model: one project manager, one contract, three local teams. Healthcare students were placed in Portuguese clinics and care facilities in Lisbon; hospitality students joined hotels and restaurants in Seville; business students were matched with multinational companies in Dublin.

Each country team handled local logistics — accommodation, orientation, cultural programmes — while the project manager consolidated weekly reports and served as the single point of contact for the Finnish coordinator. This model eliminated the usual chaos of multi-country programmes.

All 36 participants completed their 6-week placements successfully. The consortium's coordinator reported that working with a single partner across three countries transformed what could have been an administrative nightmare into a smooth, well-managed programme.

Compliance was where the unified model proved its real value. The Finnish coordinator received a single consolidated dossier — 36 signed Learning Agreements, attendance records keyed to each host, individual evaluations and Europass Mobility documents — rather than three separate audit trails in three languages. National Agency reporting was completed in days rather than weeks, and the consortium has since used the same model for two follow-up KA122 projects across different country combinations.
