"Two months in Vilnius took our group well beyond the classroom. With placements spread across six different fields — from administration and finance to IT, marketing, design and hospitality — every student worked in a role built around their own studies."

    1The Challenge

A single group covering six study areas is a demanding brief: administration and finance, IT, marketing, graphic design and communication, technical and creative roles, and hospitality each required a different kind of host environment in Vilnius — plus shared logistics for a group discovering the Baltics for the first time.

    2The Solution

Piktalent matched every student to a Vilnius placement aligned with their field, then organised the group around them: accommodation, arrival logistics, a local orientation and on-call support. Regular follow-ups kept each of the six sector tracks running smoothly from September to the end of October 2026.

    The Full Story

In September 2026, a group of Italian students arrived in Vilnius for an Erasmus+ internship experience in Lithuania's capital. What made this mobility unusual was its range: within a single group, placements ran across administration and finance, information technology, marketing, graphic design and communication, technical and creative fields, and hospitality.

For most of the group, Vilnius was a first encounter with the Baltics — a compact, creative capital where a growing tech scene sits alongside baroque architecture and a UNESCO-listed old town. Between working days, students explored the city's creative districts and landmarks, experiencing a culture distinctly different from home.

Working in international teams pushed every participant to communicate in English daily, take on real tasks and adapt to Northern European workplace habits. By the end of October 2026, the group returned to Italy with stronger professional skills, greater independence and first-hand knowledge of one of Europe's most dynamic emerging cities.
