Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lesson plans, ensuring materials are available and organized.
- Support students with their learning activities, providing additional help for those who require it, both individually and in small groups.
- Monitor student progress and help assess learning outcomes, contributing to student reports and feedback when necessary.
- Supervise students during breaks, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout school hours.
- Implement behavioral management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop educational materials and resources, including classroom displays and learning aids.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and maintaining classroom supplies.
- Engage with parents and guardians to support student progress and address any concerns.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in education or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational journeys.
- Familiarity with educational technologies and resources is a plus.
