Job Vacancy: Education/Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lesson plans, ensuring materials are available and organized.
  • Support students with their learning activities, providing additional help for those who require it, both individually and in small groups.
  • Monitor student progress and help assess learning outcomes, contributing to student reports and feedback when necessary.
  • Supervise students during breaks, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout school hours.
  • Implement behavioral management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop educational materials and resources, including classroom displays and learning aids.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and maintaining classroom supplies.
  • Engage with parents and guardians to support student progress and address any concerns.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Portuguese is highly desirable.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational journeys.
  • Familiarity with educational technologies and resources is a plus.
