Job Description

Our collaborator is a highly reviewed and busy B&B in Iceland that welcomes guests from all over the world. The accommodation has created a “home away from home” experience for visitors and offers an international, dynamic, and friendly working environment. The trainee will have the opportunity to interact with international guests, support daily operations, and contribute with ideas to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.    

Tasks

  • Communicating and interacting with international guests on a daily basis
  • Providing information, advice, and support to guests during their stay
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and responding to guest requests
  • Assisting with reservations through different online platforms
  • Replying to guest reviews on platforms such as TripAdvisor
  • Collecting feedback, ideas, comments, and complaints from guests
  • Writing blog posts and articles related to the accommodation and guest experience
  • Supporting housekeeping tasks and ensuring rooms and common areas maintain high cleanliness standards
  • Managing daily operations and helping to maintain the quality of service
  • Suggesting ideas to improve efficiency and customer experience
  • Supporting marketing-related activities or other areas of interest after mastering daily responsibilities

Requirements

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Fluency in additional languages is considered a plus
  • Interest in hospitality and customer service
  • Basic experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer-facing roles
  • Sales-oriented mindset and logical thinking
  • Basic knowledge of marketing and business
  • Creative writing skills, especially for blog and article creation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Independent, proactive, and team-oriented working style
  • Sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work in a small business environment
  • Interest in interacting with guests and creating a positive experience
