Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education/Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff in facilitating student learning.

  • Support the teacher in planning and implementing educational activities
  • Prepare learning materials and aid teachers in classroom management
  • Monitor students in classrooms, at lunch, and during recess
  • Help students to understand and complete class work
  • Identify individual learning needs and help prepare individualized learning plans
  • Assist in evaluating students’ progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for students

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Educational background in education or related field preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages are an asset
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a related role
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to relate to children and to adapt to different learning styles and needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education
