Job Description
As an Education / Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities and lesson plans.
- Supporting students with their learning by providing individualized help in both small group and one-on-one settings.
- Monitoring student progress and behavior, maintaining discipline, and providing feedback to the teacher.
- Preparing classroom materials and equipment, ensuring an orderly and welcoming learning environment.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to program development to enhance student learning experiences.
- Supervising students during lunch and breaks to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere.
- Assisting in the administration of assessments and documentation of student performance.
Job Requirements
- A degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating and guiding children.
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and learning situations.
