Job Description

As an Education / Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging learning activities and lesson plans.
  • Supporting students with their learning by providing individualized help in both small group and one-on-one settings.
  • Monitoring student progress and behavior, maintaining discipline, and providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Preparing classroom materials and equipment, ensuring an orderly and welcoming learning environment.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to program development to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Supervising students during lunch and breaks to ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere.
  • Assisting in the administration of assessments and documentation of student performance.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for educating and guiding children.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and learning situations.
