Job Description
As an English Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting our English language teachers in preparing and delivering lessons for different levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Conducting small group and individual activities within the classroom as directed by the primary teacher.
- Developing teaching materials and aids for classes.
- Supporting students with their language learning needs individually, paying special attention to each student’s strengths and weaknesses.
- Evaluating student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Engaging in school activities and promoting a positive learning environment.
Job Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification strongly preferred.
- Previous experience as an English teaching assistant or a similar role.
- Experience with teaching aids and developing course materials.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is a must. Knowledge of Spanish or other languages will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, patient, and professional approach to teaching.
- An ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A clear understanding of curriculum and instruction methods.
