Job Vacancy: Education / Teaching Assistant

Role

You will provide support to our teaching staff and assist them in creating a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will uphold our philosophy of nurturing a passion for lifelong learning and experimentation. You will work collaboratively with our teachers and engage in educational matters to further the development of the curriculum.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support to teachers including preparation of class resources and maintaining classroom cleanliness
  • Assist with planning, preparing, and delivering lessons adhered to the national curriculum.
  • Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including during lunch breaks or extracurricular activities.
  • Guide and monitor student behavior, maintaining discipline and adherence to classroom rules
  • Facilitate social and emotional development and foster positive interactions among students
  • Provide additional learning support to students who need it, including those with special needs

Job Requirements

  • A diploma in education or a related field
  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in Spanish and English
  • Understanding and practical application of confidentiality principles
  • A strong commitment to child protection
