Job Description

As a German Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our language programs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting lead teachers in the delivery of German language classes, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Preparing instructional materials that enhance learning and engagement among students.
  • Supporting students during lessons by providing individual or group assistance tailored to their needs.
  • Conducting conversational practice sessions to improve students' fluency and confidence in spoken German.
  • Organizing and facilitating cultural activities and events to promote understanding of German-speaking countries.
  • Assisting in the assessment of students’ progress and maintaining records of their performance.
  • Contributing to the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Job Requirements

  • Fluent in German (native or near-native proficiency) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong command of English and/or Spanish is preferred.
  • Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students of varied ages and backgrounds.
  • Enthusiastic about language education and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
