As an English Teaching Assistant, your main responsibilities include assisting the Lead English Teacher in the planning and execution of lessons, developing and grading assignments, monitoring student progress, and maintaining classroom order. You'll also be asked to contribute to the preparation of teaching materials, attend staff meetings, and partake in professional development workshops.
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, or a related field, with previous experience in an educational setting. A TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification is a significant advantage. Proficiency in another language, preferably Portuguese, is highly desirable. We seek someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with good organizational competence, are necessary for the role.
