Job Title: Education / Teaching Assistant
Description

Duties and Responsibilities
The Teaching Assistant will:
- Assist the main teacher in implementing and preparing lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students with their educational and social development, inside and outside the school environment.
- Observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils' progress.
- Participate in the management of pupil behaviour and secure a safe learning environment.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing classroom resources and supplies.
- Support the school's educational goals and adhere to regulations and guidelines set by the school board.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need:
- A degree in Education or a related field. A teaching qualification will be a plus.
- Previous work experience as a teaching assistant or similar role.
- Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices for different age groups.
- Demonstrated positivity, patience, empathy, and professional collaborative skills.
- Good command of English and Portuguese, both written and spoken.
