Job Description

The successful English Teaching Assistant will be responsible for:

- Supporting the lead teacher in the implementation of the curriculum and facilitating classroom activities.
- Preparing educational materials and creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Providing appropriate feedback on work to both students and lead teachers.
- Helping students improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills via individual and group sessions.
- Liaising with other teachers to maximize learning opportunities and participation.
- Participating in departmental and school meetings, as well as parent-teacher conferences.
- Organizing cultural activities related to English language and anglophone cultures.
- Assisting in the planning and preparation of lessons.

Job Requirements

The following qualifications are required for the English Teaching Assistant position:

- Native English speaker or fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant or related role is desirable.
- TESOL/TEFL certification is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and demonstrable classroom management skills.
- Experience or familiarity with English as a Second Language (ESL) programs is advantageous.
