Job Description

The school is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Education / Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive team. The successful candidate will primarily assist in preparing the learning environment, supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, and supporting pupils' in their learning. You will contribute to the development of the pupils' well-being and social skills and participate in monitoring the pupils' responses to learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in lesson planning and delivery
  • Providing support and guidance to pupils, either in small groups or on an individual basis
  • Ensuring that pupils are able to use equipment and materials correctly
  • Assisting with marking and correcting work, recording pupils' progress
  • Establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs

Personal and Professional Requirements

Applicants should possess a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in an international setting. An undergraduate degree in Education or a related field is preferred but not required. A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English is mandatory. Knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage but not necessary.
