Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen/Cook Intern to join our dynamic team in Coimbra, Portugal. The candidate will gain hands-on experience in all areas of our kitchen operations. You will work closely with our culinary team in the preparation and presentation of dishes, adhere to our sanitation and safety standards, assist in the conceptualization and creation of innovative dishes, and contribute to our inventory management and sourcing of high-quality ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of all menu items following recipes.
• Ensure the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
• Work with team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team in creating innovative dishes.

Job Requirements

All candidates should align with our company's core values, adhere to safety and hygiene regulations, have good communication and teamwork skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Completion or current enrollment in a culinary arts program is preferred.
