Vacancy for a German Teaching Assistant at a Language School in Coimbra, Portugal
A renowned language school in Coimbra, Portugal is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic German teaching assistant to enrich our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the German language and cultural understanding of students by offering interactive German language lessons.
Job Tasks:
- Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
- Assist the lead teacher in managing the classroom and facilitating learning.
- Prepare learning resources for classes and coursework.
- Offer tutoring in German language to students requiring additional help.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
- Keep up-to-date records of students' progress and areas for improvement.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education, German Language, or a related field.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring, particularly in a language school setting.
- Extensive knowledge of German language and culture.
- Certification in Teaching German as a Second or Foreign Language is a plus.

- Excellent command of German, both spoken and written.
