Job Description

The successful candidate will be assisting our primary school teachers in class preparation and management. Key duties include:

• Assisting the teacher in planning and executing lessons according to the curriculum
• Helping in grading assignments and providing feedback to students
• Taking part in meetings with parents and providing them feedback regarding their child’s progress
• Supporting the teacher in managing student behavior and maintaining a positive and conducive classroom environment
• Organizing school and classroom resources for easy access and usage
• Assisting with extracurricular activities like field trips, school fairs, and parent-teacher meetings

Job Requirements

The Education / Teaching Assistant should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in primary education
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Portuguese and English
• A natural ability to relate and connect with children and their educational needs
• A firm understanding of child development and educational psychology principles
• High level of patience and creativity
