Education / Teaching Assistant

A growing and dynamic international school based in Aveiro, Portugal, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant. Key Job Responsibilities:

Supporting the teacher in the development and implementation of individual education plans.
Maintaining a safe, clean and enjoyable learning environment for students.
Assist with the planning and execution of a diverse range of educational activities and events.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting the school’s ethos.
Contribution to the evaluation of students’ progress and achievement.
Assisting with marking and correcting work and carrying out administrative tasks as required.
Supporting inclusive practices in the classroom and ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a complementary certification or qualification in Teaching Assistance would be a plus.
Fluency in English and Portuguese languages; other language skills will be considered as an extra asset.
Previous work experience in an educational setting is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of inclusive education and the strategies to implement it successfully.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
High degree of patience, positivity, and creativity.
