Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Education/Teaching Assistant for our multicultural school community in the historical city of Pisa, Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting teachers across a range of classrooms in providing high-quality education and ensuring a positive learning environment for students.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Supporting teachers in lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Assisting students with special educational needs and learning difficulties.
- Encouraging student participation and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns to the class teacher or student's parents.
- Helping students develop important learning skills and positive behavioural habits.
- Planning and supervising activities for students during recess or after-school programs.

Qualifications and Personal Requirements

- A minimum of a diploma in education or a related field.
- At least one year of experience working in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high level of patience and a passion for working with children.
- Fluency in Italian and a good command of English.
- An understanding of and empathy for students with special educational needs.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Italy.
