Job Vacancy: English Teaching Assistant

Our languages school, located in the heart of Pisa, Italy, is seeking an English Teaching Assistant to be a part of our dynamic team. We are dedicated to helping students of all ages and backgrounds to improve their language skills and understanding of global cultures. Our educators are not just teachers—they are cultural ambassadors who promote intercultural understanding amongst our students.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and conduct high-quality English classes at various levels.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
  • Provide support to students who need additional help.
  • Assist in the planning and organization of school events and extracurricular activities.
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional developments and school events.
  • Help maintain student records and keep track of their progress.

Requirements:

In terms of qualifications, we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL or related field.
  • At least one year of experience as a teaching assistant in a similar setting.
  • Native-level English speaker with a proficient level of Italian language.
  • Culture sensitivity and ability to build rapport with diverse student population.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and maintain discipline in a classroom setting.
