Job Vacancy: Education/Teaching Assistant in Genoa, Italy

Role Responsibilities:

Provide all necessary support to assigned students throughout the school day, both academically and emotionally.
Assist with preparing the classroom before lesson, including setting up equipment, preparing resources, and tidying up after lessons.
Monitor and track student’s progress, reporting back to the class teacher as necessary.
Follow school policies and procedures, with particular attention to safeguarding and child protection practices.
Work collaboratively with teachers to implement the curriculum and contribute to lesson planning.

Job Requirements:

Must have a minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in education or a relevant field is a plus.
Must have at least one year’s experience working with children in an educational setting.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Italian, additional language skills a plus.
Competent in basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software systems.

A clear and genuine passion for working with children, and the ability to build strong relationships with students and control classroom dynamics.
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Patience, flexibility, and resilience are a must, along with creativity and the ability to motivate students to participate in learning activities.
