English teaching assistant in a bilingual school in Bangkok

Job Description

Our collaborator is looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teaching Assistant to join the educational team at a bilingual school in Bangkok. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience teaching English in a multicultural environment.

Tasks

As an English Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with experienced teachers and actively participating in school life. Main tasks include:

• Assisting in the planning and implementation of educational activities that enhance students' language skills.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher in the preparation of lessons, teaching materials and assessments.
• Develop and implement interactive and creative activities that reinforce learning.
• Creating a dynamic and positive learning environment, encouraging active participation and student interest in the English language
• Provide indivudual support yo students.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school projects.
• Supervise students in the classroom and during break time.
• Help correct work and tests.
• Collaborate with the teachers to organise special school events and activities.

Requirements

• Current university student or recent graduate with studies in Education, English studies, Linguistics, languages, or other related fields.
• TEFL/TESOL certificate (preferred but not essential).
• Advanced level English (from C1).
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independantly as well as thriving in a team
• Passionate about teaching and the desire to obtain practical experience.

• This is an unpaid internship and travel and all travel, accommodation and prvisions to be taken care of by the candidate.
• The following services will be provided for free to the candidate:
• Service to help find accommodation of an individual room in the area of the internship location. You will share a flat with other students doing similar internship positions. The approxinmate monthly rent will cost 250€ including electricity water and maid service.
• Support to obtain a visa or alternatives for internships lasting over 3 months
• Bangkok tourist guide.
• Welcome lunch/ dinner and mixer with the group of international interns.

 

Availability: 

• Start date: flexible.
• Duration: minimum duration- 3 months but you can extend them to 6 or 9.
