Job Description

As an English Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting lead teachers in planning and executing lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Facilitating small group activities and one-on-one sessions to support students in improving their English language skills.
  • Preparing classroom materials, resources, and assessments to enhance student participation.
  • Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and communication.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to both students and teachers.
  • Participating in staff meetings and professional development workshops to improve instructional strategies.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • A native or near-native level of English proficiency; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • A background in education, linguistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse groups of students of varying ages and language levels.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.
