Job Description

Position: English Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant to join our language school in the beautiful island of Tenerife, Spain. Our school is dedicated to providing high-quality language education in a supportive and engaging environment. We offer a range of language courses, focusing on immersive, communicative approaches that empower students to achieve their language goals.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in the preparation and delivery of engaging English lessons.
  • Facilitate language practice sessions and conversation clubs for students of varying proficiency levels.
  • Provide individual support to students, helping them improve their language skills in speaking, writing, reading, and listening.
  • Organize and participate in extracurricular activities that promote language learning and cultural exchange.
  • Conduct assessments and provide feedback on student progress, improving learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop innovative educational materials and lesson plans.
  • Support administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and classroom management.

Job Requirements:

  • Native or near-native proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience in teaching or tutoring English as a foreign language is an advantage.
  • A recognized qualification in teaching English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
