Position: Education / Teaching Assistant

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs and help in their daily academic tasks.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Help prepare instructional materials and resources, including organizing classroom supplies and learning tools.
  • Support the assessment of student progress through observation and record-keeping.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative planning with teachers and school staff.
  • Engage in positive communication with parents regarding student progress and school events.

Personal and Professional Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in Education or related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with children, teachers, and parents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in Spanish is essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting students' development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing educational needs and classroom dynamics.
