Job Description

We are in search of an enthusiastic English Teaching assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing lesson materials, participate in classroom activities and provide one-on-one assistance to students as needed. You will be expected to provide support to the lead teacher in implementing effective lesson plans and contribute to maintaining a positive, supportive and stimulating learning environment.

Task Description

In this role, you will assist the lead teacher in planning and executing English language lessons, monitor students' progress, provide feedback, and assist in both verbal and written examinations. You would also help in maintaining classroom decorum, encouraging students' participation in learning activities, facilitating after-school study groups where necessary, and participating in school staff meetings and training sessions.

Job Requirements

Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor's degree in English, Education or relevant field. A TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), CELTA, or DELTA certification would be highly advantageous. Prior experience as a teaching assistant or similar role, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite are required. Solid knowledge and understanding of teaching strategies and disciplinary procedures are essential. Spanish language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
