Job Description

The chosen candidate will support our French language instructors by preparing teaching materials, maintaining classroom discipline, giving individual attention to students, and performing administrative duties such as grading and record keeping. The assistant will also lead language laboratory sessions, direct language conversation groups, and provide additional help as needed to enhance the learning experience of the students.

In addition, the French Teaching Assistant will be expected to develop rapport with the students, understand their learning needs, respond effectively to their questions, handle classroom management and provide constructive feedback. One of the major responsibilities will be to facilitate the creation of a lively learning environment that encourages participation through interactive and engaging activities.

Job Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in French language.
  • A degree in French, Language Education, Linguistics or a relevant field.
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in classroom management and ability to provide motivating and creative learning environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
