Nursery internship in a retirement home in Motril, Spain

Job Description

Our partner is a rehabilitation and care retirement home in Motril, Granada. With almost 10 years of experience, they are specialized in taking care of elderly people also with some special needs. They have a residence 365 days per year, 24 hours per day, and a day and night center. They have special services for patients with Alzheimer's, stroke and advanced diseases.

Tasks

To assist in:

- To monitor and attend to the users, their needs and health, especially at the time of the when they need your services.
- Taking blood pressure, pulse and temperature
- Collaborate with the doctors by preparing the material as well as medication to be used
- Sorting the medical records, noting the data related to the very function that should be included
- To attend to residents who are bedridden due to illness, by carrying out the prescribed postural changes, controlling the meals to the sick and supplying them directly patients that such feeding requires instrumentalization (nasogastric tube, gastric tube, etc.)
- Control the personal hygiene of the users as well as the medication and food they have in their rooms
- To attend to the needs of the staff working in the center and are of their competence
- Collaborate with physiotherapists in the activities, the level of qualification of which are compatible with the degree, when their specific functions allow it.
- To monitor and take care of the execution of activities of the received by the doctor, observing the incidents that can be presented during its realization.
- And in general, all those activities not specified previously requested and that relate to your profession

Requirements

- Nursery studies
- Minimum 3 months
- Spanish at least B2
