Job Description

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Education / Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the teacher’s plan and deliver the curriculum, as well as providing additional help to individual or small groups of pupils.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher in the preparation and maintenance of learning materials.
  • Help supervise the students in classroom activities, field trips and schoolyard during breaks.
  • Support pupils with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Work closely with other professionals such as speech and language therapists or educational psychologists, if necessary.
  • Undertake administrative tasks such as taking attendance, grading quizzes and handing out educational materials.

Qualifications & Experience Required

The candidate must hold an appropriate higher diploma or degree in Education, preferably with a specialization in the subject/level to be taught. A minimum of two years of experience working as an education/teaching assistant is required along with a proficiency in English and Spanish.

Personal Skills

Applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with diverse educational methods and a compassionate understanding of child development is key. They should be able to motivate students, think creatively and have patience, energy and resilience.
