Role and Responsibilities

The selected English Teaching Assistant will be expected to assist lead language instructors in both planning and executing immersive English lessons. Duties will include aiding in the preparation of learning materials, providing one-on-one support to students struggling with course material, and assisting in the marking of assignments and exams. You will also be asked to monitor and record student progress, provide feedback, and communicate closely with other language teaching professionals within the school.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a BA in English or a related field, coupled with a TEFL certification. Previous experience in an educational setting, especially as a teaching assistant or language tutor, would be highly desirable. Fluency in Portuguese is also highly appreciated. The successful applicant will be knowledgeable about the latest language teaching methodologies and digital education tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and passion for language teaching are critical for this role.
