Job Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in classroom preparation and management, ensuring a productive learning environment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
• Help facilitate small group activities and one-on-one support for students requiring additional assistance.
• Monitor student progress and report any concerns to the teaching staff.
• Organize educational resources and materials, maintaining an orderly and engaging classroom.
• Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance professional development.
• Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among students, promoting an inclusive atmosphere.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as grading assignments, maintaining records, and completing reports.

Job and Personal Requirements

• Minimum qualification of a high school diploma; a degree in Education or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the educational development of children.
• Basic knowledge of child development and educational best practices.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and basic knowledge of English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the broader school community.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
