Our collaborator is a fast-paced start-up company made up of a young and driven team seeking to make a difference. Their team consists of business drivers, software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists, all contributing to the company's innovative power. They always seek to solve problems using the latest technologies which help them grow as a team and improve our solutions.
They are looking for proactive interns interested in the areas of Software Development, Software Engineering, and Computer Science. You will be working together with their product development team to implement new features which will be integrated into our solutions. You will participate in daily stand-ups and have the opportunity to express your opinion and make suggestions that will improve solutions. An ideal candidate for them is someone who wants to learn and is not afraid of a challenge.
Responsibilities:
• Development of new features which are scheduled for release using a wide array of technologies.
• Development of proof-of-concepts experimenting with new technologies.
• Implementation of unit tests.
• Willing to learn concepts related to the domain.
• Participate in team meetings and daily stand-ups.
• Completion of assigned tasks on time and meeting technical requirements.
• Working both independently and in a team.
Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Debugging skills.
• Self-motivated, naturally curious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Can-do attitude.
• Is a plus if you have one year of experience in a software development company.
• Experience with C#, .NET, React JS (or similar).
• Basic knowledge of accounting.

• The position is a mix of office and remote work. In the first weeks it's from the office until the intern gets a better understanding of the processes that the company has. After that, the intern can work either remotely or from the office or a mix of both.
• For remuneration, they don't have a fixed amount for this, but they do offer some form of remuneration to students to help them cover their living expenses. It very much depends on whether the student has some funding either from Erasmus, or from somewhere else, the period of the internship and the education level of the student. In case the student has no additional funding, they usually offer renumeration higher than the minimum wage to cover all living expenses in Malta.
• For the weekly hours, usually it is 40 hours per week. However, it depends on the students, they can also have interns working less than 40 hours per week. The minimum is 16 hours (2 full days) per week.
