Job Description

We are seeking a practiced English Teaching Assistant for a full-time position in a prestigious language school located in the beautiful city of Parma, Italy. The English Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting the lead instructor in teaching English language courses to students of varied ages.

Tasks:

• Assist lead instructor in planning and preparing lessons.
• Manage the classroom environment to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Participate in grading papers, tests, and homework assignments.
• Engage with students one-on-one, helping them hone their grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Ensure the learning materials are available to students and properly distributed.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and language-based events organized by the school.
• Participate in staff meetings and student progress discussions.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or TESOL.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or language tutor is required.
• Native or near-native fluency in English is required.
• Basic proficiency in Italian is desirable, but not required.

Personal Requirements:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work comfortably with students of different proficiency levels.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
• Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
