Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a German Teaching Assistant will include:

• Offering classroom support to students by managing queries and doubts related to the German language
• Assisting the primary German language teacher in lesson planning and curriculum design
• Organizing and participating in immersive activities to raise cultural awareness of German-speaking nations
• Facilitating communication between students and the school management
• Grading homework, coursework and preparing students for assessments
• Participating in meetings, trainings, and school wide events

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in German language, linguistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be considered a significant plus
• Fluency in both German and English; understanding of Italian is preferred but not essential
• Prior teaching experience or experience as a teaching assistant, preferably in language instruction
• Familiarity with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Eligibility to work in Italy
