Famous for its beautiful porticos, Bologna gives food lovers a unique culinary experience and has one of the best food scenes in all of Italy.
As a Kitchen / Cook Intern, you will be directly involved in food preparation under the supervision of our experienced chefs. You will learn about different cuisines, kitchen tools and equipment, food hygiene, safety protocols, and menu planning. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience in a professional kitchen setting. Daily tasks may vary but will primarily consist of food prep, cooking under supervision, kitchen organization, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Assist with meal preparation according to chef’s instructions.
- Learn to operate different kitchen equipment.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
- Participate in food and beverage inventory.
- Contribute to menu planning and development of new dishes.
Ideal candidates should be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Culinary Arts or related program. A passion for the culinary arts and a keen interest in diverse cuisines are essential. Must be able to lift and handle kitchen equipment safely and follow all food safety regulations.
The successful applicant must be self-motivated, eager to learn, and have excellent teamwork skills. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial. A good understanding of Italian is preferred, but not essential.
