Job Description

Our collaborator is dedicated to addressing mental health issues at an early age, recognizing that early intervention can lead to better long-term outcomes. With a global suicide rate of one occurrence every 40 seconds, it is critical to focus on youth, who play a key role in spreading awareness and reshaping perceptions of mental health.

Their Psychology Internship Program is centered around school and community mental health education. The program covers essential topics, including autism, OCD, depression, anxiety, self-image, suicide, cyber-bullying, substance and alcohol use, eating disorders, and internet addiction.

Additionally, they offer comprehensive training programs aimed at both teachers and parents, empowering them to deliver effective mental health education and create a supportive environment for children and young people.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising:

    • Crowdfunding: Raise funds through crowdfunding platforms (e.g., Keeto, Indiegogo, etc.) to support the organization’s initiatives.
    • Sponsorships & Donations: Identify and approach national and international sponsors, as well as individual philanthropists, to secure financial contributions.
    • Resource Gathering: Collect essential items such as soap, sanitary pads, books, stationery, laptops, digital tablets, printers, and educational materials related to mental health, ensuring the sustainability of the organization.
  • Social Media Management:

    • Daily Posts: Actively post on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) on a daily basis, as directed.
    • Engagement: Like, share, and promote the organization’s activities on your personal social media pages and relevant local groups.
    • Inviting Engagement: Encourage friends, family, and your network to like and follow the organization on social media.
    • Writing Reviews & Articles: Write and submit positive reviews (five stars) on platforms like Google, and contribute articles to the organization’s blog.
    • Sharing Content: Regularly share blog posts and other content created by the organization across platforms to increase visibility.
  • Content Creation & Design:

    • Infographics: Design and write infographics for social media posts related to mental health topics and internship opportunities.
    • Content Writing: Write articles for the blog, ranging from short posts (100-250 words) to longer pieces (750-1000 words) focusing on psychology, mental health education, and internship programs. Encourage participation and engagement in the psychology programs.
    • Event & Program Promotion: Create content that promotes upcoming events, workshops, or campaigns to boost attendance and awareness.
  • Community Awareness Campaigns:

    • Campaign Participation: Contribute to campaigns and awareness programs to educate the public on mental health issues.
    • Event Planning & Execution: Assist in organizing and promoting local mental health education workshops, discussion panels, and other outreach activities.
    • Networking: Collaborate with local stakeholders, professionals, and volunteers to ensure the success of community events and workshops.
  • Workshops & Trainings:

    • Mental Health Education Workshops: Assist in organizing and delivering evidence-based mental health education workshops in partnership with local communities and stakeholders.
    • Teacher & Parent Training: Support workshops aimed at teachers and parents, focusing on mental health literacy, awareness, and creating a supportive environment for children and adolescents.

Requirements

  • Under Graduate, Graduate, or Post Graduate can apply.
  • Interest in mental health awareness and education.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
