Job Description

Based in Paris and Berlin, our collaborator stands at the forefront of auteur cinema as an international distributor and producer of bold, award-winning films. The company’s founder has collaborated with prominent and pioneering directors from the earliest stages of their careers. He has produced over forty films to date, the majority of which were selected for the main competitions at the Cannes, Venice, and Berlin film festivals. They received major prizes, including the Venice Golden Lion and two Palme d’Ors.

They are looking for a globally minded and result-oriented colleague, with organisational skills and an avid interest in culture, to complete their team of thirty people working in a dynamic and international environment. You will assist the post-production team and founder.

Tasks

  • Assist with the post-production of film restorations.
  • Organise and coordinate deliveries of film elements to distributors, servicing companies and festivals.
  • Edit and catalogue VOD film screeners, as well as excerpts.
  • Create and review subtitles and assist with assembling Dialogue Lists.
  • Help manage the inventory and archival of physical and digital elements of the company’s catalogue.
  • Provide key information to the Sales Team about materials availabilities.
  • Communicate with production companies, labs, vendors, and external collaborators.
  • Occasionally support the post-production team with other tasks.

Requirements

  • Native or fully fluent English-speaker with excellent command of French and/or German. Other languages are a plus.
  • Proficient with Premiere Pro; Experience with AVID, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and/or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused.
  • Creative and able to think outside the box.
  • Experienced in the cultural industries with knowledge of post-production workflows (a plus).
  • Flexible and proactive.

  • Monthly salary of 1200 euros (before taxes).
