Key Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in preparing and delivering educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
• Support individual students or small groups in their academic tasks, helping them to understand lessons and complete assignments.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, and extracurricular programs to ensure a safe and productive environment.
• Help maintain classroom organization by setting up learning materials and resources before lessons and tidying up after activities.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and identifying areas where students may need additional support.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and collaborate on strategies for improvement.
• Facilitate a positive learning atmosphere through encouragement, motivation, and proactive behavior management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma; further qualifications in education or child development is preferred.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and flexibility in addressing the varying needs of students.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage tasks efficiently.
• Fluency in Portuguese; knowledge of English is an asset.
• Commitment to promoting inclusive education and safeguarding children.
