We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Intern for our high-volume kitchen in Coimbra, Portugal. This position presents an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry professionals, and contribute to delivering extraordinary culinary experiences.
- Work closely with our skilled kitchen staff to learn aspects of food preparation and presentation.
- Assist our Chefs in preparing exquisite national and international cuisine, adhering to traditional recipes as well as experimenting with innovative concepts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations as directed by senior chefs and kitchen management.
- Contribute to menu creation and development, providing ideas and feedback where appropriate.
- Support in managing inventory, handling food supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Enrolled in or recently completed a Culinary Arts program or equivalent.
- Previous food service experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of cooking principles and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work on weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Excellent Portuguese language skills, English is a plus.
- A genuine passion for the culinary arts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on food quality and presentation.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with an adaptability to new techniques.
