Position: English Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic English Teaching Assistant to join our language school located in the vibrant city of Braga, Portugal. Our institution is dedicated to providing high-quality language education in an engaging environment, fostering cultural exchange and language mastery among students of all ages.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering engaging English lessons to students of various age groups and proficiency levels.
• Support classroom activities, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
• Conduct small group sessions and one-on-one tutoring, focusing on students' individual learning needs.
• Prepare teaching materials and resources, including lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia content.
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development and improvement strategies.
• Assist in the evaluation of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in school events, workshops, and open days to engage with the school community.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, parents, and staff.

Personal and Job Requirements:

• Native or near-native proficiency in English, with a solid understanding of grammar and linguistics.
• BA in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring English as a second language is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
• Enthusiasm for language education and cultural exchange.
• Flexibility and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Residence or willingness to relocate to Braga is essential.
