Internship Vacancy: Translation Specialist

Role Description

The internship will expose the candidate to a diverse range of translating tasks involving documents and media from various domains. Interns will engage with conversion of written material from one or more 'source languages' to the 'target language', keeping the content, context, style, tone, and nuances intact. The role also requires cultural understanding to adapt the text according with local audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate written materials across various industries from source to target languages.
  • Maintain terminology databases to be used in translations.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure consistency of deliveries.
  • Proofread translated materials for grammatical and syntax accuracy.

Requirements:

The candidate should be in their final year of a bachelor or master degree in Translation, Linguistics or any related field. Fluency in at least two languages including English is necessary. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines and a team player mind-set are integral assets for this role.
