Education/Teaching Assistant: Vacancy in Fuerteventura, Spain

Job Description and Responsibilities

The primary role of the successful candidate will include supporting teachers in preparing for classes and helping students understand the material better by breaking down complex subjects into smaller, understandable units. Check and evaluate students' assignments and report on their progress. Assist classroom teacher to maintain a safe and clean learning environment. Participate in parent/teacher meetings providing feedback on student progress and behavior. Assist in the organization of school activities and events.

Job Requirements

The applicant should hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage. Fluency in Spanish and English is required. The candidate must possess a valid work permit.

The suitable candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff and parents. Attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential. In order to adapt to our diverse cultural environment, the candidate must be flexible, respectful and sensitive to cultural differences.
