Vacancy: English Teaching Assistant in Guimaraes, Portugal

Job Description

We are searching for an English Teaching Assistant to join our Languages School located in Guimaraes, Portugal. The chosen candidate will help to develop lesson plans, assist the lead English teachers in instruction, and help the students build their language skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing supporting materials for lessons, such as flashcards, audiobooks, or interactive learning tools.
• Assisting in creating fun, interactive, and educational lessons to encourage students' participation.
• Acting as a bridge between the teachers and students, ensuring students comprehend the lesson.
• Providing feedback to the teaching staff about students' progress and participation.
• Researching and utilizing beneficial resources to enhance students' English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an academic setting as a teaching assistant or tutor is preferred.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and writing with a clear accent.
• Valid work authorization to work in Portugal.
