Job Vacancy: Education / Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Education / Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Guimarães, Portugal. Our institution is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting our students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, providing one-on-one assistance as necessary.
• Monitor and record student progress, contributing to assessments and feedback.
• Facilitate classroom activities and ensure a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
• Prepare learning materials and maintain classroom organization.
• Communicate regularly with teachers and parents to ensure cohesive support.
• Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting a respectful environment.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and educators.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student development.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.
