Role: Kitchen Intern/cook

Based in the beautiful city of Faro, a bustling hub of culture and gastronomy in Portugal’s Algarve region. As an intern, you will be immersed in Faro’s vibrant culinary scene as you gain hands-on experience in our high-volume, professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and menu development
• Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with team members
• Learn to prepare dishes consistent with our restaurant’s standards
• Gauge the quality of raw materials used to prepare meals

Job Requirements

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in a culinary school or related program
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and instruction following skills
• Basic understanding of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
• Proficiency in English, with knowledge of Portuguese as a plus
