Job Responsibilities

The teaching assistant in English will be expected to:

• Assist the lead teacher in creating and implementing engaging English lessons for a range of language proficiency levels.
• Conduct small group and individual classroom activities based on differentiated learning needs.
• Monitor student performance, providing feedback and assisting in maintaining records of student progress and development.
• Support the lead teacher in managing student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings and education conferences.

Job Requirements

Prospective applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a degree or relevant qualification in English, linguistics, education, or a related field.
• Previous working experience with teaching English Language or as a language assistant will be an advantage.
• Excellent command over written and spoken English.
• Highly organized, flexible, and reliable with good inter-personal skills.
• Knowledge of Italian language will be beneficial but not necessary.
