Job Title: English Teaching Assistant

Description

We are a highly-regarded multilingual institution based in the beautiful city of Parma, Italy, specializing in providing top-notch language training to individuals from all walks of life, reinforced by our skilled team of language professionals. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic English Teaching Assistant to complement our diverse team of educators.

Duties and Responsibilities

The English Teaching Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:

• Assisting the lead teacher in teaching English to students of varying age groups and skill levels
• Preparing and setting up teaching aids for classes
• Observing student progress, recording observations and making suggestions for improvement
• Collaborating with the lead teacher and other staff members in preparing lesson plans
• Organizing and managing a safe and comfortable learning environment
• Attending staff meetings and professional development training sessions

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics or any related field
• Experience in teaching, tutoring or as a teaching assistant is preferable but not required
• Fluency or near-fluency in English
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic knowledge of Italian will be an advantage
• Strong creativity and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
