Tasks of an English Teaching Assistant

The English Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in delivering engaging, communicative and student-centred lessons to a diverse group of learners. The selected candidate will be providing support in lesson planning, facilitating classroom activities, evaluating student performance, maintaining student records, and contributing to curriculum development. They will also handle administrative tasks such as grading assignments and conducting occasional parent-teacher meetings. The assistant will play a significant role in aiding the learners' grasp of English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and overall language comprehension.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics or related field. A TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate is mandatory. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. The ability to speak and understand Italian is advantageous. A familiarity with technology in the classroom and previous experience with learner management systems are also required.
