Job Description

As a Translation Intern, you will work closely with our team of experienced translators and gain hands-on experience in translating business documents and other materials from English to German and vice versa. This role will interact closely with various departments within our organization, assisting in the translation of internal communications, marketing materials, technical documents, and briefings. The position will also involve proofreading to ensure accurate, high-quality translations. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your linguistic skills while gaining valuable industry insight.

Responsibilities

• Translate documents and communications from English to German and vice versa.
• Ensure the integrity of the original text is maintained in the translated version.
• Proofread translated documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.
• Assist in ad-hoc translation requests.

Requirements

Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Translation Studies, German Studies, English Studies, or a related field. Advanced proficiency in English and German, both spoken and written, is essential. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous translation experience or internship is a plus.
