Job Description

Our collaborator is a highly regarded factory in the area and holds a prominent position in the automotive industry. It currently has approximately 500 permanent employees and plays a crucial role in generating employment opportunities for numerous external firms. The factory's main headquarters is situated in Zafra, Badajoz, Extremadura, and it also maintains offices in Madrid and Lisbon to facilitate product marketing. Primarily focused on component machining and assembly, the factory supplies various group plants in Germany, specifically in Cologne and Ulm. Moreover, it possesses adequate infrastructure for the development and testing of diesel engines and their respective components, catering to diverse applications.

Tasks:

  • Supporting and informing applicants in the use of our systems and purchasing channels
  • Guidance to applicants in case of technical problems
  • Being a central contact in Purchasing and working closely with the Strategic Purchasing Team in Germany
  • Ensuring direct communication with requisitioners
  • Checking and ensuring the quality of approved purchase requisitions
  • Efficiently prioritise purchase requisitions (POs) especially at peak times
  • Creating purchase orders from approved requisitions, ensuring delivery from our suppliers

Requirements:

  • Experience between 2 and 5 years in purchasing with contact with applicants and staff in charge.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • German B2 level is required.
  • Solid experience in Purchasing organisations, in-depth knowledge of their processes, policies, means and warehousing and logistics.
  • Knowledge in SAP MM in both manual and highly automated processes.
  • Very good communication skills and experience in preparation and execution of training received.
  • Strong team oriented attitude.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing applicable to continuous process improvement.

Benefits:

  • Salary 29.600 euros gross
